Enterprise Development Agency Signs Contracts Worth 6.8 million Pounds for Micro Enterprises in 5 Governorates

Executive Director of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency, Ms. Nevine Gamea, signed 6 contracts to fund and support micro enterprises with several NGO’s in Cairo, Minya, Qena, and Sohag. 
The total value of the fund is 6.8 million pounds allocated from the French Development Agency (AFD) and Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and through the agreement financed by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to strengthen the marketing capacities of farmers. 
These loans are available to micro-enterprises and will target more than 1300 beneficiaries.The contracts were signed by Ms. Nevine Badr El Din, Head of the Central Sector for Microfinance and Chairmen of the Boards of Directors of NGOs. 
One of these contracts was signed with the NGO " Together for social development and aid in Helwan in Cairo with a total funding of one million pounds to implement 200 micro enterprises and raise the economic level of the target groups. 
Another one was signed with the Community Development NGO in Neqada, Qena, with funding of 2 million pounds for the implementation of 400 micro enterprises. 
As for Sohag, Enterprise Development Agency signed 2 contracts with the two Community Development NGOs in Jerja" and Tanta with a total funding of 2.5 million pounds to implement 500 micro enterprises 
As for Meunofeya, a new contract was signed with the Commuinty Development NGO in Kafr Elim at one million pounds for the establishemnt of 200 micro enterprises serving the people of the governerate. 
Other contract was signed with the National Unity NGO in Abioha, Minya with funding of 300,000 pounds for the implementation of 60 micro enterprises.
