Minister of Trade, Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises and SFD Supervisor Mr. Mounir Fakhry Abdul Nour and Minister of Social Solidarity Ms. Ghada Waly inaugurated the 9th round of Egypt’s International Furniture and Furnishings Trade Fair "Furnex Egypt 2015" held at the Cairo International Convention Center. Head of the SFD Central Sector of Non-Financial Services Dr. Raafat Abbas attended the inauguration ceremony. 
This event comes as a step to activate existing cooperation between SFD and the African Development Bank (AfDB) to implement the project: "Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs in Organic Clusters" financed at USD 2 million grant contributed by MENA Transition Fund. The project aims at creating an enabling environment for MSMEs inside organic clusters through providing these enterprises financial and non-financial services to enhance their productivity and integrate them into the value chains. SFD started with the cluster of hand-made manufacturers in "Saqiat Abu Shara" in Menufia governorate. 
Through the participation in such fair, SFD seeks to help carpet manufacturers within this cluster find new marketing opportunities for their products and provide them more match-making opportunities to contribute to developing this industry in Egypt.
