The Egyptian Franchise Development Association (EFDA), is a non-governmental and non-profit organization representing and serving the license & franchise industry in Egypt.
It was formed in 2001 to encourage and promote entrepreneurship through franchising & licensing.
EFDA is a full member at the World Franchise Council WFC since 2005.
EFDA will hold its Twelve annual exhibition ( MIFE2013 Middle East and North Africa International Franchise & License Exhibition ) on May, 2014 at Cairo International Fair Ground " Social Fund for Development Hall".
This would be a great opportunity for International licensors & franchisors to introduce their properties, brands and expand their businesses by exhibiting in this prestigious international event.
Objectives:
1- Increase the awareness of the "Franchise form" of doing business.
2- Introduce Licensing to the Local Business Community especially to Egyptian Manufactures.
3- Develop the technical know how of franchising among local franchisors.
4- Provide a database of the franchise industry parties.
5- Liaison between all stakeholders in the franchise and license industries i.e. financial institutions, governmental institutions, franchisors and potential investors.

1- Hold the annual Middle East and North Africa International Franchise & License Exhibition (MIFE).
2- Hold the annual Franchise and License Conference held in parallel with MIFE, which is attended by renowned world speakers in the franchise & license field.
3- Publish the annual "Franchise Egypt" magazine.
4- Develop workshops and seminars tailored to meet the needs of the franchise industry stakeholders.
